We stayed 2 nights in Cholet. first night, we had a short visit in the town centre. 2nd day, Puy du Fou for the full day, a Must See. on the way back we visited the splendid Parc of Maulévrier, the biggest Japanese parc in Europe.

We loved it all and was just the perfect amount of time.We crammed in a lot in those 3 days! Would definitely recommend Cholet!! Le Miel was a quaint little food area , they had homemade baked goods.Staff were amazing even for my French language . L'ecalier bistro iode (Cholet ) was just AAAAAhhhhhhmmmmmaaaaazzzzing !!! Food was OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious and just the right amount as we had fine dining like that.Portions you'd think for any Canadian would be small but you got to savour all of the Chefs flavour in it all .Definitely recommend this bistro to everyone !! Good centre for visiting the local region, vineyards & chateaus. Good shopping available, many locally owned shops with fewer larger chains in the town centre than many other places. We did not have breakfast so cannot comment: it being a quiet time of year the hotel had 2/3 staff on and they were very helpful. parking is permitted outside which is paying, - we were lucky as we arrived sunday afternoon and parking was free up until monday 9am.

We went into Cholet centre in the evening for some food and found it to be easy to park with plenty of choice of food and drink establishments with an really good vibe. The breakfast the following morning was of superb choice and quality. We would have no hesitation to stay here again should we be travelling back through the area.
